This is an effective definition (deemed by wikipedia) of the classic ‘Competent Man’, someone who is able to do many things.  Detrimentally I feel this is something descriptive of who I am…someone who is distracted by many things around him.  I try to get good at as many of them as possible, and aspire to be that person who can walk into just about any situation and be of help and a good teacher.

Here you’ll find a blog with the thoughts and experiences of a wanna be ‘Competent Man’ living in the Pacific Northwest.  Topics can include everything from IT technology to Christianity, and professional live sound engineering to my family life.  My interests are widely varied and I hope to help others by sharing here what I’m learning about and experiencing.
